As a kid, my house was the one whose kitchen was rarely used. My parents worked a lot and dinner was always catered. As for mom, her culinary talents were learned in Home-EC and evolved little over time. So basically, my interest in cooking is really unexplained. Many people follow in the footsteps of those they see beside a stove all their lives. For me, on the other hand, it was something I knew I loved even though I never had any real guidance.
As an adult, I continue to have a passion for cooking and creating new flavors. In 2011, I launched my own website and decided to take my food experiences to the web. Cooking and writing seem natural to me and I couldn’t imagine what I would do if I suddenly had to give up one or both of these activities. Thankfully, I’m a ‘stick to your guns’ kind of girl, so that won’t be happening any time soon.

In 2012, The Flavor Fusion Project expanded to enter the world of food production. As part of the Florida State Cottage Food Law, we have made the leap from the page to the realm of public taste buds. Our artisanal food launch started with sweet and savory jams and marmalades. This seemed like a natural first step for us because the fusion of flavors is virtually endless in the jam world! With attention to detail, insistence on quality, and emphasis on flavor, these building blocks will set the foundation for what is sure to be an expanding endeavor.
With all that’s going on the world, it’s inspiring to know that in our little food haven, people still have the time to find common interests. There is something universally appealing about having family and friends gathered around a bountiful table and perhaps that’s why we’ve become such a food-centric society.
In any language, life should always include great food, great wine, and great company. We hope that The Flavor Fusion finds its way into your kitchen and into your hearts. We thank you whole heartedly for your support and inspire you to be adventurous with your food.
